Welcome to the Yam Art Museum. Here is probably the largest collection of Yam paintings in the world, plus other works, all in Acrylic.
"Yams Wear Shiny Shoes"
In honor of a trip to the theater with our friends the Potters, to see Wendy Wasserstein's great play "Third". Someone was wearing a pretty blouse, which I wanted to paint as a dividing curtain. But it turned into a headless giraffe doing the Watusi.
Other "YAM" museums are
Yellowstone Art Museum yellowstone.artmuseum.org and the
Yankee Air Museum yankeeairmuseum.org

You will certainly enjoy the fair at http://yamboree.com
What is the difference between Yams and sweet potatoes?
Many authorities have opined on this weighty subject. Artistically speaking, the answer is clear. Yams have more character.
About the Artist
Professionally, I am a nomad. I live in the big city but fly away somewhere, anywhere, all week every week.
I did take an excellent course in Italian Renaissance Art in college, and I've always played the piano.
I suddenly started painting yams in 1999, for strange and unexpected deep compulsive reasons. The yams come from the grocery store. The other paintings' subjects come from dreams, visions, and contemplations.
